Role summary

This role involves providing comprehensive administrative and medical secretarial support to the Malvern, Evesham and Pershore Older Adult Community Mental Health Team. The post is 30 hours per week, with flexible working options. The successful candidate will handle telephone enquiries, digital dictation, appointment scheduling, and maintain patient records. It requires strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Essential criteria

  • OCR/RSA 3 qualification or equivalent in Text/Word Processing, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant Level 3 Medical Secretary qualification (e.g. Medical Terminology) or equivalent qualification or experience or Relevant Level 2 Medical Secretary qualification (e.g. Medical Terminology) or equivalent qualification/experience, with considerable recent Medical Secretary experience and will be expected to undertake the Level 3 qualification on appointment to post.
  • GCSE at grade 9 4 (\*A-C) or equivalent in English language.
  • I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
  • Recent, relevant Administrative/Secretarial experience.
  • Additional Criteria
  • I understand the Trust is unable to provide sponsorship to work for this role, and employment on a time limited visa doesnt guarantee sponsorship at point of expiry.

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to

provide a comprehensive administrative and medical secretarial service with the

Malvern, Evesham and Pershore Older Adult Community Mental Health Team.

The core

working hours of the team are Monday to Friday 9-5 and the post is 30 hours per

week, which can be flexible.

There are

opportunities to develop specialist skills and you will receive regular

supervision. The role will be varied providing the successful applicant with an

opportunity to gain valuable experience within Older Adult Mental Health

Services.

As a

ensuring we continue to deliver the best service to our patients.

The successful

candidate should have both organisational and interpersonal skills with the

ability to work well under pressure.

As

the successful candidate will be dealing with patients, relatives and other

communication skills and will be expected to have a courteous and efficient

telephone manner.
