We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior IT Specialist to join our Digital Department. This senior technical role is responsible for maintaining and supporting NHS Dumfries & Galloway’s complex computing, voice, and data communication infrastructure. You will ensure the high availability, security, and resilience of critical clinical and corporate systems across a region wide network, supporting approximately 5,000 users and 400+ servers.
You will act as a technical lead within your specialist area, resolving complex issues escalated from User Support, supporting major clinical and business systems, and contributing to infrastructure planning, disaster recovery, and continuous service improvement.
