Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for Band 5 nurses with a passion for critical care nursing to join the Adult Critical Care Unit (ACCU) at The Royal London Hospital. The role involves providing high standards of care to critically ill patients within a challenging yet supportive acute hospital setting. You will work within a highly skilled, dynamic, multi-disciplinary team in the 44-bedded ACCU, which is part of the UK's largest trauma centre. The trust offers learning opportunities to help maximise your experience and learning. This role is for energetic, enthusiastic staff nurses with at least 6 months acute experience.
Essential criteria
- Registrant with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of UK
- Completion of Adaptation Course if not UK trained and not eligible for registration with NMC
- Intravenous accreditation
Desirable criteria
- Preparation for Mentorship Course
- Evidence of professional development e.g. Acute Care Skills Training
- Critical Care experience
- Evidence of positive contribution to the ward team
- Demonstrated knowledge of acute care issues and management of patients who are acutely unwell
- Ability to reflect on practice
- Knowledge of current professional issues
