Role summary
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two Clinical Associate Psychologists to join their At Risk Mental State Service. This role involves delivering psychologically informed interventions and assessments to young people and adults aged 14-35 years who are at risk of developing psychosis. You will help individuals achieve their goals and reduce the likelihood of psychosis transition. The positions are based in Totton and Basingstoke.
Essential criteria
- First degree in Psychology. Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the BPS. Demonstrate study at masters level 120 credits
- Understand British Psychological Society (BPS) Professional Code of Conduct, local and national policies and procedures that define scope of practice
- Understand the range of behavioural change models including health belief models to synthesise best practice in the absence of a strong evidence base, or existence of clinical practice guidelines

The ARMS Service is an evolving and innovative specialist pathway that is central to delivering national priorities for psychosis prevention and early intervention.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist service supporting young people and adults aged 14 to 35 years who are experiencing symptoms associated with an increased risk of developing psychosis.
As a Clinical Associate Psychologist, you will play a key role in delivering psychologically informed interventions and assessments to individuals and their families, helping people to achieve their goals whilst reducing the likelihood of transition to psychosis.

What You'll Be Doing
- Undertake specialist assessments, including the Comprehensive Assessment of At Risk Mental States (CAARMS).
- Deliver evidence-based, formulation-driven psychological interventions under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist.
- Provide low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions and family interventions.
