Role summary

This role is for a motivated and registered nurse to join the Pre-Assessment service at Wansbeck General Hospital and North Tyneside Hospital. The successful candidate will undertake pre-assessment of elective patients awaiting surgery, using specialized history taking and clinical skills. This position starts at Band 5 and progresses to Band 6 upon successful completion of training and competencies under Agenda for Change Annex 20. The role requires excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage a caseload autonomously.
