The post-holder will provide assessments and interventions in the CAMHS Early Years' (CAMHS EY) Service to pre-school children meeting service criteria. This role will offer a service across the district and can be based at either Cross Street in Burton or The Bridge in Stafford and will include working across the South Staffordshire area, as required.

Main duties of the job

To contribute to a thorough assessment of children referred to the service.

To provide specialist assessment and interventions for young children with emotional or behaviour problems referred to the service.,

To identify the nature, severity and complexity of children's presenting and developing mental health problems.

To be alert to possible physical health presentations and to give advice or signpost as appropriate, within professional practice guidelines.

To formulate and implement plans for intervention within the scope of professional practice guidelines.

To exercise autonomous professional responsibility, within professional practice guidelines and subject to experiences.

To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual patients.
