Role summary
This Triage Nurse role is within the Mental Health division's Diagnostics Service, specifically in the Older People's Care Unit. The postholder will be responsible for triaging and pre-assessing all new referrals, ensuring patients are contacted and referred for scans before initial assessment. Essential criteria
- First level nurse with the RMN and/or RGN qualification
- Professional knowledge acquired through degree, supplemented by post grad diploma level specialist training or equivalent experience

- Effective time management, organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Can demonstrate caring and compassionate attitude.
- Ability to organise and prioritise work load.
- Patient and calm in situations of stress.

- A full UK driving license and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

- Comprehensive understanding of the needs of a person of any age with dementia
- Knowledge of Trust Non-Medical policy and local procedure.
