Job summary

Our stroke service is the designated 24 hour thrombolysis centre for Buckinghamshire and East Berkshire with 15 hyper- acute beds and 27 acute beds across two ward at Wycombe hospital.

What will we give you? Once in post you will be on the road to develop and enhance your skills. We offer each individual an induction in our team with a period of supernumerary, which is usually up to 2 weeks. You will also attend the Trust Induction Programme; this encompasses all facets of Buckinghamshire Health NHS Trust, and the lived experience of what you will do, giving you an insight in the organisation.

Main duties of the job

Registered Nursing Associates support the provision of holistic, person-centred care and support for people of all ages, across the lifespan and in a variety of settings.

The nursing associate works independently - within the remit of the role - to assess, plan, implement and evaluate; undertaking aspects of care delegated by registered nurses and registered allied health professionals. The nursing associate has a breadth of knowledge across the "four pillars" of nursing practice: Clinical Practice, Facilitating Learning, Leadership and Research/Audit awareness .
