Role summary
This is a static Band 6 neuro physiotherapist position within a specialist multidisciplinary team at Chelsea and Westminster Foundation Trust. The role involves providing high-standard physiotherapy to neurologically impaired patients, particularly those with stroke, on an acute ward. The successful candidate will work autonomously, assessing and treating patients, and contributing to goal-focused rehabilitation as part of the MDT. Support and development opportunities are provided.
Essential criteria
- BSc or Diploma in Occupational therapy/ Physiotherapy
- HPC registration
- Evidence of CPD and relevant post graduate courses
Desirable criteria
- Membership of a specialist interest group relevant to clinical area
- Experience working as an autonomous qualified therapist in Neurology or stroke care
- Experience of working in an acute care setting
- Experience working as an autonomous qualified therapist in other relevant clinical areas e.g. respiratory, medicine, elderly care
- Experience working with people who have had a Stroke
- Evidence of close working with all members of the multidisciplinary team
- Experience of complex discharge planning in the NHS
- Experience of supervision and teaching of assistants, students and other members of MDT
- Previous therapy experience in community stroke services

- Demonstrates specialist knowledge of Neurological assessment and treatment skills
- Demonstrates clear understanding of the pressures of acute working in the NHS

Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, caring and skilled Band 6 neuro physiotherapist to fill a static position within the Chelsea and Westminster Foundation Trust
This is a specialist multidisciplinary team which provides a service to adults within North West London. The team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Specialist Nurse, and rehabilitation support workers all providing goal focused rehabilitation on an acute ward.The successful candidate must have experience of working in core areas of physiotherapy, have experience within neurology. They must be dynamic and flexible to the workload fluctuations.
You will receive support from experienced Band 7 Physiotherapists and other therapy professional leads and have a chance to develop your skills whilst working with patients and the wider MDT and other agencies.
