Role summary
This role is for an HR Systems Process Lead to join University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. It's a fixed-term position focused on implementing the national NHS People Portal, a major workforce transformation programme. The successful candidate will shape future HR processes, lead system design and testing, and provide expert HR advice. Key responsibilities
- Leading the HR workstream for the rollout of the NHS People Portal.
- Coordinating the review and redesign of HR processes for efficiency and compliance.
- Working with HR teams to translate system changes into practical, user-friendly ways of working.
- Providing HR expertise into system design, configuration, and implementation decisions.
- Leading HR involvement in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Assessing the impact of change, identifying risks and opportunities, and helping realise benefits of new systems.
Essential criteria
- Master's or equivalent experience
- Broad knowledge of NHS ESR system
- Broad understanding of full life cycle HR processes - recruitment, onboarding, payroll, analytics / reporting
- Strong analytical ability / data analysis skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills - ability to influence key stakeholders and develop clear, concise reports
- Experience of developing and delivering training collateral related to HR systems and processes
Desirable criteria
- Project management qualification or equivalent experience
- CIPD Level 7
- Experience working in an Acute NHS Trust
- Contract management experience - negotiation and oversight
- HR / Workforce system / software implementation experience
