Role summary
This role supports the Procurement Business Manager in providing a professional procurement service to the Health Board/Trust. It involves contributing to the development and achievement of team objectives within NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership. The successful candidate will help deliver goods and services to NHS Wales, working in an agile environment. Key responsibilities
- Support the Procurement Business Manager in the provision of a professional procurement service.
- Contribute to the development and achievement of the team's objectives.
Essential criteria
- Qualified to CIPS (Level 4)/NVQ2/3 or equivalent experience
- 5 GCSE's grade C and above, including Maths & English or equivalent experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to use Microsoft products
- Proven ability to establish and enhance effective working relationships with stakeholders
- Knowledge of professional purchasing principles acquired through NVQ level 3 or Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply, plus knowledge of contract law acquired through short courses and experience
Desirable criteria
- Ability to work positively as part of a team
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Tendering and specification writing
