Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Stoke NHS Talking Therapy Service, a Primary Care Psychological Therapy Service in Stoke-on-Trent offering innovative and effective treatments for a broad range of mental health problems in primary care, focusing on anxiety disorders and depression.

If you are a highly organised and motivated individual with a commitment to the NHS and patient care then we would welcome your application to study for the professional role of Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. Successful candidates will be trained to deliver Low Intensity Psychological Interventions, which are the cornerstone of NHS Talking Therapies Services.

The program of learning is delivered by Newman University. If successful the post holder will be required to start induction with the service on Monday 25th January 2027, in preparation for the course on Wednesday 3rd February 2027. The training programme consists of a minimum of 1 day face to face teaching, undertake 1 day of self-directed study and provide 3 days of clinical practice per week offering assessments and low intensity treatment to patients presenting with common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety.
