- \*An equivalent qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry & Joinery.
- Or,
- \*BTEC/ONC in Building or Construction Services.
Desirable criteria
- \*Additional relevant Competencies
- \*Completion of a registered apprenticeship or structured training program in Building or Construction for a minimum of 3 years
- Plus
- \*Significant post training, site experience having demonstrated high versatility and flexibility.
- And
- \*Background in Building or Construction installation, alteration, maintenance, or repair.
- And
- \*Experience of Building plant, equipment, and woodworking machinery.
- \*Capable working to deadlines.

Job summary
\*Perform unsupervised work including activities that may be demanding and/or non-routine.
\*Responsible for testing, maintenance and fault finding on all building elements, plant and equipment including but not limited to:
oFire compartmentation.
oSecurity, access control, keys, and locks
oControlled drug storage units
oRoofing
oDoors and Hardware
oBuilding structure and partition walling
oFlooring and flooring finishes
oGlazing
oFixtures, fittings, and furniture
oTower Scaffolding
oWoodworking machinery
oConstruction site plant
oTransport vehicles.
\*Work under own initiative to undertake maintenance, repairs, minor improvements, and capital work across the trust as directed, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.
