Role summary

Job summary
This role offers the opportunity to work as part of a busy and supportive ward-based pharmacy team, making a direct contribution to patient care across a range of specialties. Key aspects of the role include:
Working in a patient-facing environment and supporting patients with their medicines
Ordering, receiving and managing medicines to ensure wards have the medicines they need.
Stock management and replenishment of medicines at ward level.
Labelling, dispensing and preparing medicines following training and competency assessment.
Communicating with patients, ward staff, healthcare professionals and service users.
Supporting safe and effective medicines use across the Trust.
Providing supervision, support and training to a variety of different staff
Developing new skills through structured training, including patient counselling opportunities.
Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Contributing to a safe, efficient and compassionate pharmacy service that makes a real difference to patients every day.
