Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, full time Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Community Mental Health Team, under the direction of the professional lead OT and supporting the supervision of an Occupational Therapy Support Worker.

The post holder will be required to use OT assessments and interventions to aid recovery using MOHO. The 'Discovery Through Activity' programme is also established across the service. The post holder will work within an MDT to provide assessment and recovery focused intervention. The successful candidate will be required to co-ordinate care for individuals with occupational needs and to undertake comprehensive care and treatment planning assessments.

The postholder will work alongside MDT colleagues providing assessment and recovery focussed interventions for adults accessing this service. There is excellent links with local third sector and community resources in order to promote opportunities to engage in meaningful occupation.

The post is part of a wider network and professional structure of OTs across the mental health and learning disabilities division with opportunities for CPD. A variety of training opportunities are available in the health board and the OT service is committed to student
