Role summary
This job-share Administration Manager role involves jointly leading the operational delivery and day-to-day management of clerical and administrative services within the Children and Young People Division. The postholder will manage information systems, analyze performance data, and contribute to the leadership and development of the administrative team. They will support service improvement initiatives and ensure efficient, high-quality administrative services through effective communication and joint decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Support the operational management of administrative, secretarial and clerical services across the Division.
- Maintain effective communication with Administrative and Clerical (A&C) staff, ensuring key information is communicated and implemented consistently.
- Oversee the day-to-day performance of A&C staff, support service improvements and implement new ways of working.
- Produce and analyse routine and ad hoc information to support the monitoring of quality indicators, performance targets and Directorate objectives.
- Lead and contribute to task groups and service improvement initiatives relating to administrative services.
- Ensure the effective use of administrative resources in line with Health Board policies and procedures.
Essential criteria
- Previous experience of staff management
- Previous experience of managing financial resources
- Previous experience in producing written reports
- GCSE Maths & English Grade C or above
- Qualified at degree level or equivalent proven experience
- Proficient in use of Microsoft applications.
- Evidence of potential for effective leadership
- Ability to work unsupervised and make decisions
- Ability to initiate change & motivate staff
- Excellent time management
- Sound knowledge of patient confidentiality
- Able to work on own initiative but also as part of a team
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to move between sites
Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS experience
- Evidence of ongoing CPD
- Welsh speaking

Job summary
The Administration Manager will work in partnership with the existing postholder as part of a job-share arrangement, jointly leading the operational delivery and day-to-day management of clerical and administrative services within the Children and Young People Division under the direction of the Business Support Manager.
