Role summary
Join our Endoscopy team as an Endoscopy Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care for patients undergoing diagnostic procedures like Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy. Key responsibilities
- Maintains safe and high standards of practice in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
- Assessment, delivery and recording of direct & indirect care to patients undergoing diagnostic endoscopic procedures.
- To setup equipment required and assist during endoscopic procedures.
- Management of biopsies and specimens according to local procedures.
- Administration of drugs as prescribed according to Trust policy and NMC regulations.
- Contributes to the development of the Unit focusing on the delivery of timely, efficient and high-quality services.
Essential criteria
- *Registered General Nurse.
- *Responsible for keeping up to date with clinical developments within Endoscopy and nursing practice
- *Identify training needs as part of continuing professional development.

If so, we invite you to join our Endoscopy team as an Endoscopy Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. You will be involved in a range of procedures including Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy and Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, supporting patients throughout their diagnostic journey and helping to ensure an excellent patient experience.
This exciting opportunity offers a healthy work-life balance with a Monday to Friday service operating between 08:00 and 18:00, with flexible working patterns available. As part of our supportive and welcoming team, you will play a key role in the admission, care, recovery and discharge of patients, including those undergoing conscious sedation. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective and compassionate care is delivered at every stage of the patient pathway.
