Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced mental health clinicians to train as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) therapists for children and young people.   • Applications may be considered from those with a relevant first degree who do not have a registerable professional training if they have substantial experience in a CAMHS or equivalent setting and evidence of meeting the Knowledge Skills and Attitude (KSA) requirements of BABCP.

Job summary

In line with the government's priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, the 'Recruit to Train' Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) therapist role is an exciting opportunity for experienced mental health clinicians to develop their clinical skills and deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and healthcare sectors in England.

This post provides the opportunity to complete the Children and Young People Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP-IAPT) post graduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) that is being run in collaboration with the University of Reading. Successful candidates will be employed on a full-time, fixed-term, 15 month contract with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
