Role summary
This is a full-time, office-based Team Secretary role within the Core Service at Laura Mitchell Health & Wellbeing Centre. The successful applicant will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to medics, ensuring the smooth operation of the service. Key duties include managing correspondence, coordinating appointments, maintaining records, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The role requires excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft packages.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to clinical/support services.
- Act as principal point of contact for service users and external individuals.
- Prioritise own tasks, exercising independence, initiative, and judgement.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records using electronic patient record systems.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to an efficient working environment.
- Undertake any other administrative tasks as required, including minute-taking and covering reception.

- In working as an effective team member with minimum supervision

- in organising and prioritising own tasks in order to meet deadlines.
- Must be appropriate to the role::
- NVQ level 3 or RSA III or OCR III (or equivalent level of qualification in related subject eg business admin, typing/word processing, customer services)
- Or, be able to demonstrate competency at level 3.
- Ability to be flexible to meet the demands of the post.

- Ability to travel around the Trust as appropriate to role
- A satisfactory sickness record over the previous 2 years (subject to the need to act with fairness and equality of opportunity, particularly where the sickness is related to a disability and/or pregnancy).

- Must be willing/able to undertake all appropriate Trust mandatory training requirements, and subsequent refresher training relevant to the area
