Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and motivated Adult ADHD Specialist Practitioner and Non-Medical Prescriber to join the Adult ADHD clinic in Cambridge. The position involves assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults with ADHD. Candidates must already be qualified Non-Medical Prescribers. Full and part-time hours are available, and the role requires a strong team work ethic and accountability.
Essential criteria
- Registered nurse or hold other relevant professional qualification and current registration appropriate to the job role
- Independent and supplementary Non-medical prescriber
Desirable criteria
- Post qualification continuing professional development
- Management and or leadership qualification
- UKAAN Course
- Considerable experience as a professional working with people with mental health needs
- Experience in conducting initial assessments, including risk assessments, of people with mental health needs
- Experience of working as an NMP
- Experience as a professional working with people with ADHD
- Evidence of delivering training
- Experience of working with wider stakeholder groups
- Experience in audit, research, and service evaluation work
- Skills & Abilities
- Able to demonstrate commitment to high quality care and service provision
- Ability to demonstrate the interpersonal skills required to successfully foster partnership working relationships.
- Evidence of the skills required for analysis and interpretation of complex facts or situations
- Able to demonstrate ability to manage feedback, investigation of complaints, serious incidents or similar
- Ability to produce and present clear reports
- Knowledge & Understanding
- Working knowledge of appropriate assessment tools.
- Good understanding of the effects & side effects of medication
- Sound knowledge of local safeguarding policies and procedures
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to travel independently and in a timely manner across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to meet strict deadlines.

We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Adult ADHD Specialist Practitioners - Non-Medical Prescribers. Full and part time hours available, to join our Adult ADHD clinic, based in Cambridge. The role includes assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults with ADHD. You must already be a Non-Medical Prescriber to apply.
