Role summary
This is a Band 6 Specialist Acute Rotational Physiotherapist role at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. Essential criteria
- oBSc Physiotherapy and evidence of post graduate training in relevant specialist area oHCPC registered oClinical education training or willingness to complete within one year

- oCurrent (or recent) and substantial working experience in a critical care setting in an acute NHS hospital. oExperience of participating in an on call respiratory rota. oDocumented evidence of continuing professional development. oMDT Working. oExperience of service improvement
- oExperience of managing staff oExperience of integrated working oExperience of change management
- oSpecialist knowledge of Physiotherapy assessment and treatment and how to apply this effectively within specialty oKnowledge of current best practice in Physiotherapy and its application. oEffective planning, evaluation and co-ordination of treatment. oApplied knowledge of relevant legislation including CPD and risk assessment and management. oKnowledge of clinical governance

Job summary
UHCW NHS Trust is seeking highly motivated Band 6 Physiotherapists to join our inpatient therapy team. This rotational post offers the opportunity to develop specialist skills across T&O, Neurosciences, Cardiothoracics, General Critical Care, Major Trauma, and Surgery.
Our T&O service encompasses a wide variety of elective and trauma surgical pathways, alongside a dedicated Major Trauma Enhanced Care Unit. Offering excellent opportunities to develop expertise in complex orthopaedic care.
The Neurosciences Team manages patients with a range of complex conditions. Strong clinical reasoning, communication and discharge planning skills are essential to support patients throughout their recovery.
The Cardiothoracic Unit is a regional specialist centre comprising critical care and ward-based services. Patients undergo routine and complex cardiac, thoracic and upper gastrointestinal procedures, providing a diverse caseload.
Our General Critical Care Unit offers valuable experience managing acutely unwell patients and developing specialist respiratory and rehabilitation skills.
