The Neuroscience ICU is a busy Multi-Trauma Critical Care Centre located in the purpose-built facility at the Oxford University Hospitals Foundation Trust, based at the JR site. We provide specialist services for neurosciences, neurology, trauma and specialist surgery patients. We are a friendly and forward-thinking team with a strong commitment to professional development who actively demonstrate the Trust Values.
We are looking for someone to join our team in Neuro ICU as a Ward Clerk / Receptionist. This is a vital role within our service for someone who is organised, friendly, a great team player and has excellent and compassionate communication skills.
Main duties of the job
The Ward Clerk / Receptionist will provide a professional, comprehensive and effective reception and administrative service, maintaining a high quality and efficient service to all colleagues and patients.
The Ward Clerk / Receptionist will act as the first point of contact for patients, relatives and visiting staff to the department, welcoming them to the unit and dealing with any queries in an efficient, polite and courteous manner and responding to all telephone enquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
The Trust uses an electronic patient record (EPR)
