Role summary

Key responsibilities
- Ensure the day-to-day domestic work is carried out effectively by the domestic team.
- Manage and reorganise the work of team members' schedules, accounting for unforeseen circumstances like sickness absence.
- Assist and provide a full cleaning service to sterile areas, offices, and departments in accordance with work schedules and activity.
Essential criteria
- NVQ L4 or equivalent experience in supervising large staff groups
- Demonstrates ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and to work without direct supervision
- Basic IT / keyboard skills
- Experience of working in a team and independently
- Experience of supervising domestic staff in a hospital /care setting
- Previous domestic experience in a hospital/care setting
- Demonstrates knowledge of cleaning methods and protocols
- Demonstrates knowledge of infection control, Health and Safety and COSHH policies
