Role summary
This is a part-time, fixed-term role for an Endoscopy Healthcare Assistant at Royal Berkshire Hospital. The successful candidate will support endoscopy procedures, provide patient care in recovery, and assist with the processing and distribution of endoscopes. The role requires someone enthusiastic, hardworking, and flexible to join a JAG Accredited Unit.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personal care to patients.
- Work in procedure rooms, supporting the endoscopy team.
- Assist with stock control and distribution of endoscopes.
- Ensure procedure rooms and equipment are clean before and after use.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the unit.
Essential criteria
- Completion of Care Certificate
- Have experience of personal care to patients in healthcare setting
- Can give examples at interview of quality patient care
Desirable criteria
- NVQ qualifications in care support work
- Have at least 6 months of work experience

We are a JAG Accredited Unit and looking to recruit an enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible healthcare assistant to join our team working part-time 18.5hours per week.
This role as a care support worker requires the person to have the care certificate and have experience with delivering personal care and be willing to learn new skills to support endoscopy procedures, care of patients in recovery and support the processing and distribution of endoscopes.
As a healthcare assistant within our Endoscopy Team you will be responsible for a range of tasks including preparing procedure rooms, setting up equipment before and after endoscopy procedures.
