Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic Band 5 Chemotherapy Staff Nurse to work at the CCC - Halton site in the CANtreat unit. The post involves delivering treatments across various sector hubs and clinics within Cheshire & Merseyside, North Wales, the Isle of Man, and parts of Lancashire, requiring an element of cross-cover and travel. The successful candidate will contribute to providing highly-specialist cancer care and uphold the Trust's values.
Essential criteria
- Previous nursing experience
- Knowledge of various drugs and their interactions and side effects
- Knowledge of NMC code of conduct
Desirable criteria
- UKONS SACT Passport.
- NM6 995 Chemotherapy Administration and Care.
- NM6 998 Cancer Treatments and Care
- NM6 996 Chemotherapy Principles and Care
- NM6 999 Foundations in Cancer Care
- 1st level registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Evidence of continued professional development
- In date PIN number with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
- Degree or working towards
- Previous nursing experience of a hospital setting
- Previous nursing experience within a medical setting
- Previous Oncology/Haemato-oncology experience
- Cannulation/Phlebotomy
- Knowledge & Expertise
- Previous nursing experience
