Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and motivated Lead Paediatric Audiologist to join a Community Paediatric Audiology Service. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership, operational management, and specialist audiological expertise for babies and children aged 7 months and above. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality hearing assessments, developing management plans, and contributing to service development. The position supports the Operational Lead in ensuring a safe, effective, and patient-centred service.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake audiological assessment of babies aged over 7 months, children and adults.
- Practice autonomously, interpreting diagnostic findings and developing management plans.
- Deliver rehabilitation and counselling to patients and families affected by hearing loss and tinnitus.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the Paediatric Audiology Service, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and efficient clinic utilisation.
- Undertake line management responsibilities, including supervision and performance management.
- Develop and implement service improvement plans.
