Role summary
This is a fixed-term opportunity for a Specialist Clinical Respiratory & Sleep Physiologist to join the Respiratory & Sleep Team at Southlands Hospital. The role involves working as an independent practitioner in the Community Diagnostics Centre, performing a range of diagnostic assessments for respiratory and sleep disorders. The post holder will also analyze and interpret complex diagnostic tests, initiate treatment, and provide clinical supervision for junior staff.
Essential criteria
- BSc Clinical Physiology/ Science or equivalent
- ARTP Part I and Part II Assessments/ Practitioner examinations or equivalent experience
- Current professional membership regulated by RCCP or HCPC

- Leadership/Management Skills
- Multichannel sleep study experience
- Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
- Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues
- Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role).

Main duties of the job
The Specialist Clinical Respiratory & Sleep Physiologist will work as an independent practitioner in the newly formed, Community Diagnostics Centre at Southlands Hospital.
The post will work alongside the service lead, and wider Sleep/Lung Function Team across the other hospital sites offering high quality specialist diagnostics and treatment for a variety of respiratory and sleep disorders for patients in the West Sussex area.
