Role summary
This role is for a qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to provide high-quality, evidence-based psychological care for older people across East Surrey, primarily within community mental health teams. You will support older adults with mental health difficulties, memory concerns, and dementia-related behavioural needs, working closely with families and carers. The position involves detailed assessment, formulation, therapeutic intervention, and neuropsychological assessment. Essential criteria
- Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology qualification or equivalent.
- HCPC registration
- Experience of working with people from across the life span with a range of mental health issues and cognitive profiles.
- Experience across a range of psychological models including systemic, behavioural and individual therapeutic
- Demonstrable post registration/clinical experience and competency relevant to working with people in later life.
- Driving license and access to a vehicle.

Job summary
We are looking for a qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to provide high-quality, evidence-based psychological care for older people across East Surrey, primarily within the Elmbridge and Mole Valley community mental health teams, with some work in Epsom. The role involves supporting older adults with mental health difficulties, memory concerns and dementia-related behavioural needs, while working closely with families and carers to deliver compassionate, person-centred care.
You will join a friendly and experienced team of Psychologists specialising in later life services across community and inpatient settings. We are committed to innovation, professional development and delivering excellent care for older people and those who support them. The successful candidate will receive a personalised development plan tailored to their interests and service needs, alongside regular CPD opportunities, high-quality clinical and neuropsychological supervision, and strong peer support.
