Role summary
This Staff Nurse role is based at Pershore Community Hospital, working on a 26-bed inpatient ward focused on rehabilitation. Key responsibilities
- Provide care to people admitted to wards for rehabilitation, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
- Promote the comfort and wellbeing of patients, enabling them to live as independently as possible.
- Facilitate the day-to-day running of the ward, including administering medications.
- Work alongside all members of the MDT, patients, their families and carers to provide 24/7 rehabilitation.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient focused nursing care.
- Document care given and maintain contemporaneous records in accordance with Trust policy and NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
Essential criteria
- Experience gained during pre-registration training.
- Confidence to teach student nurses, patients, carers and members of the multidisciplinary team.

- Awareness of Audit.
- Evidence of on-going continuing professional development.
- Able to carry out physical requirements of the role e.g. using mechanical hoists to move patients.
- RGN/RMN.
- NMC Registered.
