Role summary
The Clinical Team Manager will lead a multi-disciplinary team within Devon's Wellbeing Service, providing assessment, treatment, and consultation to children and families. Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational management of the Wellbeing Service Clinical Team.
- Line manage a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians.
- Provide specialist clinical interventions and advice as required.
- Lead the clinical team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Manage effective operational delivery in collaboration with other leads and managers.
- Ensure the service is based on best practice, evidence, and is outcomes-focused.
Essential criteria
- Leadership experience
- Evidence of partnership working.
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- A professional qualification at degree level or equivalent e.g. Psychological profession, Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent
- Additional specialist training and qualification to post graduate
- diploma level or equivalent in supervision and/or leadership skills
- Evidence of relevant CPD
- Understanding and experience of safeguarding
- Experience of managing and supervising individuals
- Clear understanding of the needs of Children/Young People and their families.
- Knowledge of national and local strategies pertaining to Children and Young people
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Sound knowledge of health presentations in children and young people and the practice of clinical interventions within area of specialty
- Experience in managing HR and recruitment processes including staff appraisals, performance and sickness management
- Knowledge of service and quality improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of clinical outcomes monitoring, service evaluation and audit methodology and ability to critically interpret research findings and data
- Experience of leading and managing multidisciplinary teams
- Experience of working collaboratively with service users and their families/carers, including using goal-based care and routine outcome measures in practice
- Experience of working collaboratively in a multi disciplinary team and across agencies
Desirable criteria
- Leadership qualification/evidence of undertaking relevant course
- Additional specialist training and qualification to post graduate diploma level or equivalent in an evidence-based therapeutic approach
- Experience of working within childrens social care
- Expertise in therapeutic support in the following areas of practice - edge of care, children in care and care experienced young people
