Role summary

This fixed-term Occupational Therapist role involves independently managing a specialist clinical caseload for children and young people with diverse physical healthcare needs. Essential criteria

  • A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes is essential
  • Some experience and/or knowledge regarding delivering evidence based/ best practice clinical interventions within childrens community healthcare setting

Desirable criteria

  • Awareness and some experience of working across agencies and demonstrate commitment to partnership working with all key stakeholders
  • Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Evidence of formal post graduate learning within a relevant CYPS field or skill

Job summary

This post is fixed term for 12 months. The post holder will work in collaboration with team colleagues to deliver safe, efficient, high quality and effective services by providing strong clinical leadership and ensuring alignment of team based priorities with the Directorate and Trust priorities and values. The post holder will:

Independently manage a specialist clinical caseload with support and supervision provided by senior staff via various methods e.g. face to face contact, email, telephone. This will include provide clinical assessment and the delivery of treatment programmes for children and young people with a diverse range of physical healthcare needs

Consolidate undergraduate clinical experience, develop independent clinical practice, participating in continuing professional development

Work within a variety of setting such as community, homes, schools, nurseries, hospital ward & designated Clinics. The service provides a blended offer of delivery including Face2Face and a digital offer (Attend Anywhere).
