Role summary
This role is for a Deputy Team Leader in Nucleus 7&8 Theatres, specializing in General, Urology, Gynaecology, Plastic, and Breast surgical procedures, including robotic surgery. The successful candidate will be an outstanding nurse or ODP with scrub and anaesthetic skills, enjoying a busy and diverse clinical area. They will support the Team Leader, Theatre Coordinator, and team to provide safe and effective patient care, contributing to continuous quality improvement within the division.
Key responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of care for patients in Nucleus 7&8 Theatres.
- Work as a theatre practitioner with scrub and anaesthetic skills.
- Demonstrate motivation and ability to work on own initiative.
- Prioritise workload and support the team leader, theatre Coordinator and team.
- Influence and drive improvement within Nucleus 7&8.
Essential criteria
- Can demonstrate a high standard of clinical practice in relation to theatre setting
- Minimum of 3 years Theatre experience at band 5
- Demonstrate resource management ability

- Budgetary management experience

- Can demonstrate a contribution towards providing a positive learning environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good written and verbal skills.
- Demonstrate effective leadership and team building skills
