Role summary

Join our dynamic Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Service to deliver high-quality outpatient care across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. You will work with adults and children aged 5+ supporting patients with a wide range of complex musculoskeletal conditions. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and delivering evidence-based treatment plans as an autonomous practitioner. You will also supervise junior staff and contribute to education and training. The service operates Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm.

Essential criteria

  • Previous experience of working as an MSK Physiotherapist
  • Demonstrable people management skills
  • A high level of effective communication and an ability to develop relationships with patients, carers and staff in other teams and organisations
  • Highly competent clinical documentation skills

Desirable criteria

  • Evidence of CPD related to MSK physiotherapy
  • To be able to travel independently between sites
  • Previous NHS clinical experience
  • Diploma/ degree in physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
  • M level modules or MSc in related subject
  • Member of relevant specialist interest group.

You'll work with adults across BNSSG, and with adults and children aged 5+ in North Somerset, supporting patients with a wide range of complex musculoskeletal conditions.

This is an exciting opportunity to build on your existing experience while developing advanced clinical skills within a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team. Working as an autonomous practitioner, you will assess, diagnose and deliver evidence-based treatment plans for patients with varied and complex presentations, with access to support and specialist advice from the wider MSK and Interface teams when needed.

Our MSK service is part of the specialist services delivered under the community NHS contract and works closely with GPs, consultants and other healthcare professionals across primary care. Care is delivered through face-to-face clinics as well as telephone and video consultations.

Core service hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm (excluding Bank Holidays).
