Role summary
This role is for a Community Mental Health Nurse to work with Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust via Flexi-Bank. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for service users in the community. Key duties include mentoring staff, leading care for specific groups, and participating in staff recruitment and management. The position focuses on providing high-quality, holistic care to clients needing community nurse support.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the clinical management of a care package for individuals using our services.
- Coordinate and monitor the delivery of person-centered healthcare to a designated group of service users.
- Deliver individual and group therapy utilizing CBT skills.
- Work as a member of the MDT in assessing and planning care and responding to changes in service users' health.
- Ensure provision of necessary physical care to help service users (e.g., personal hygiene, diet, physical observations).
- Participate in the recruitment, deployment, and management of staff in line with SABP policy.
Essential criteria
- NMC Registration as RMN/RN (Mental Health)
- Successful completion of Mentorship course
- Further training or experience to post graduate diploma level or 5 years equivalent experience
- 2 year's experience post qualification
- Aware of personal and professional boundaries
- Clinical supervision training
