Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Band 6 Senior Radiographer to join The Imaging Department at Harefield Hospital. The role involves rotating through General x-ray, Fluoroscopy, Theatre, CT, and Catheter Laboratories, participating in a 24/7 service. The post holder will provide specialist, high-quality cardio-thoracic imaging services to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Training will be provided in various modalities within a specialist Cardio-thoracic centre.

- Professional knowledge acquired through degree
- HCPC registration
- CPD
- Appropriate and sufficient post qualification experience of radiographic work

- Previous NHS experience
- Experience of audit/quality systems
- Experience of specialised cardio-thoracic angiography and CT
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Evidence of problem solving skills
- Flexibility and willingness to undertake a wide range of duties

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Band 6 Senior Radiographer to join The Imaging Department at Harefield Hospital, part of Guy's and St Thomas' Foundation Trust.
The post holder will be required to rotate through General x-ray, Fluoroscopy, Theatre, CT and the Catheter Labatories. Participating in the delivery of a 24/7 service, wherein radiographers are contracted to work out of hours shifts at night, on weekends and bank holidays.
We invite applications from those who have previous CT or Catheter Laboratories experience, as well as those who are looking for a new and exciting opportunity to begin training and gain further knowledge in these modalities within a specialist Cardio-thoracic centre.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to work in the Imaging Department and participate in the provision of a 24-hr service in accordance with the procedures laid down by the Head of Department.
- They will provide a specialist, high quality cardio-thoracic service in order to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- They will have the ability to cope effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
- They will be trained in defibrillation and intermediate life support.
- They will be able to use PC based software.
- They will possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills, reflecting a professional attitude
