Job summary
The SHPU NHS Electrician plays a vital role in maintaining and ensuring the safety of electrical systems within SHPU. Main duties of the job

Installation and Maintenance of Electrical Systems :
- Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems, including lighting, power supplies, and emergency backup systems, across SHPU NHS facilities.
- Ensure all electrical systems are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant standards.

Electrical Testing and Inspection :
- Conduct regular testing and inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with IET Wiring Regulations and NHS safety standards.
- Carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and other routine checks to ensure all electrical equipment is safe for use.

Fault Diagnosis and Repair :
- Quickly respond to electrical faults and breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing issues in various settings, including patient care areas, offices, and communal spaces.
