Applications are invited for a Specialist Biomedical Scientist post within the Pathology Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to contribute to the work of the Pathology Laboratory. The department provides comprehensive Histopathology and Cytopathology services for the populations of Grampian, Orkney and Shetland.
The successful candidate must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Biomedical Scientist and have completed the IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Cellular Pathology.
Applicants must have previous experience working in an NHS histopathology laboratory and demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are also essential.
