Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to lead the Lancaster and Morecambe Home Based Treatment Team. The role involves providing leadership, ensuring safe and effective care, and supporting service users and carers. You will be responsible for developing pathways, overseeing supervision, and driving improvements in clinical practice. The post holder will also support the service manager with first-line management duties.
Key responsibilities
- Support the service manager in the running with first line management for a community-based Lancaster and Morecambe Home Based Treatment Team.
- Work with the team to develop pathways, oversee supervision and mandatory training.
- Be responsible for the delivery of a high quality and high performing team.
- Support the team in ensuring staff have opportunities for continuing professional development.
- Actively lead in the delivery of the clinical governance, quality improvement and performance management agenda within an identified locality team.
Essential criteria
- Must hold relevant professional qualification (RMN / Social Work / OT)
- Completion of, or working towards, Management or Leadership training.
- Documented evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
- Expert knowledge on mental health issues and how these impact on the individual, carer's and the wider community.
- Expertise in current best practice in Adult Mental Health , and awareness of relevant government directives and legislation
- Knowledge of a comprehensive range of Human resources procedures and the ability to put these into practice when acting up for the Locality Manager
- 2 years post registration experience in mental health setting (one year of which will be in relevant specialist area)
- Extensive clinical experiences including individual and group work in mental health specialties
- Leadership experience of the Multi-disciplinary team.
