Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the supervisory team at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. The post holder will supervise and organise the domestic team, ensuring rotas are covered and work schedules are adjusted to meet service needs and maintain cleaning standards. Responsibilities include training staff, conducting appraisals, and managing performance to ensure compliance with Trust policies and health and safety practices. The role requires flexibility to cover leave and sickness.

Essential criteria

  • NVQ Level 3 in leadership (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous experience at a supervisory level
  • Previous experience of cleaning

Desirable criteria

  • Previous cleaning experience at a supervisory level within a healthcare environment
  • Previous experience of cleaning within a healthcare environment
  • An understanding of C.O.S.H.H. regulations
  • Health and safety basic knowledge
  • An understanding of the operating of cleaning machinery
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Basic data inputting either manually or using a computer/tablet
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Other

  • Ability and willingness to undertake further training as necessary

Job summary

Exciting opportunity to join the supervisory team here at Liverpool heart and chest hospital, The post holder will be required to work 24 hrs per week.

  • Monday 5pm-9pm
  • Tuesday - Friday 3pm-8pm

Must be flexible to cover leave and sickness.

To provide direct supervision and organisation of the domestic team. To arrange cover for absences and unforeseen instances and facilitate any adjustment of work schedules in light of daily requirements to meet service needs to obtain acceptable standards of cleaning.

To ensure all staff in the team are working to Trust polices and are correctly instructed and trained in the use of operating methods, equipment and techniques required to provide a safe environmentResponsible for the day to day domestic service within a specified shift time and allocated zone.

To manage both staff and the service across the Broadgreen site, and be point of contact in dealing with issues raised.

Ensuring all audits are completed within timescales and are in line with NSoC.
