Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Helensburgh and Lomond Community Physiotherapy Team. You will provide rehabilitation services to patients in the community, taking a lead role in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge. The role involves supervising and developing junior staff and support workers, and contributing to clinical governance and research. You will be professionally accountable for your work and capable of independent clinical decision-making for complex patient presentations.
Key responsibilities
- To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work including direct and indirect patient care.
- To assess capacity gain valid consent and have the ability to work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent.
- Act independently to assess, analyse clinical and non-clinical information and provide highly specialist and comprehensive clinical diagnosis for individual patients to determine their need for physiotherapy intervention. This includes patients with complex presentations.
- Act independently to plan, implement, evaluate, treat and progress patient care to maximise rehabilitation potential – including decision making regarding discharge from care.
Essential criteria
- Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration
- Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
- A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
