Role summary
This role is for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 7 Physiotherapist to join Defence Primary Healthcare at Aldershot Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility. The post holder will act as the clinical lead, overseeing high-quality primary care rehabilitation and managing staff across two sites. It involves advanced clinical practice and providing expert advice on musculoskeletal dysfunction to various healthcare professionals and military personnel. A full clean driving licence or ability to travel is required.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the clinical lead for the Primary Healthcare Rehabilitation Facility (PCRF) and oversee the provision of high-quality primary care rehabilitation.
- Deliver advanced clinical practice and manage rehabilitation staff.
- Work as a Team Clinical Lead managing staff.
- Be a source of highly skilled clinical expertise in the management of musculoskeletal (MSK) dysfunction.
- Provide clinical supervision and advice to senior physiotherapists, General Practitioners, and the service persons' military Chain of Command.
- Perform highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse and complex physical and psychological conditions.
Essential criteria

- Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Physiotherapist
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapist (MCSP)
- Experience working as a clinical MSK physiotherapist at a minimum of band 6 (or equivalent) in the MSK injury specialism, including experience in sports injuries and orthopaedics.
- Up to date Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
- Degree in Physiotherapy plus additional specialist training or experience to master's level or equivalent.
