Role summary
This is a development opportunity for an experienced Band 5 physiotherapist to progress to a Band 6 role within in-patient rehabilitation at the Homeward Centre, a short-term rehabilitation unit at Good Hope Hospital. The role involves working with varied patient caseloads from all specialties, focusing on achieving therapy goals for discharge home. Participation in a 7-day working service is required.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a clinical caseload, undertaking a lead role in assessing, treating, and discharge planning.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team at the Homeward Centre and therapy teams across the Good Hope site.
- Support patients to achieve their therapy goals with the aim for discharge home.
- Gain experience in functional assessments, running exercise classes, falls prevention management, and complex discharge planning.
- Participate in the weekend rota and in-service training programme.
- Contribute to service development in new clinical pathways.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 5 physiotherapist looking to progress to the next step to become a Band 6 physiotherapist in in-patient rehabilitation. The post holder will work at the Homeward Centre, a short-term rehabilitation unit on the Good Hope hospital site. It is essential the post holder has good clinical skills, communication and interpersonal skills. They must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and have good organisational and time management skills, problem solving skills and an enthusiasm for service development.
