Role summary
This role is for an experienced and motivated admin team leader to manage a team of secretarial and administrative staff within the Central Functions Team at Kendray Hospital. The successful candidate will lead and manage staff, support the development of administrative services, and ensure continuity while introducing changes to working practices. It requires strong supervisory, management, and organisational skills, with a focus on supporting clinical colleagues and enhancing patient experience.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of secretarial and admin staff within the Central Functions Team.
- Supervise and delegate work to Admin/secretarial staff, participating in their induction, training, and appraisal.
- Undertake delegated duties under the supervision of the Business Administrative Manager, delivering a comprehensive service.
- Provide services within established policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
- Work in partnership with others to develop knowledge and promote an holistic service.
Essential criteria
- Ability to be flexible to meet the demands of the post.

- A satisfactory sickness record over the previous 2 years (subject to the need to act with fairness and equality of opportunity, particularly where the sickness is related to a disability and/or pregnancy).
- Able to fulfil Occupational Health requirements for the post (with reasonable adjustments if necessary).
- NVQ level 4 in Business Administration or equivalent level qualification.
- Or, be able to demonstrate competency at level 4 in an Admin/secretarial /supervisory position.
- Must be willing/able to undertake all appropriate Trust mandatory training requirements, and subsequent refresher training relevant to the area.
- Must be willing/able to undergo job development and training and maintain skills.
- in General Administration/ Supervisory Management eg. Project management, Sickness management, recruitment, etc.

looking to appoint an experienced and motivated admin team leader to lead and
manage a team of secretarial and admin staff based within the Central Functions
Team at Kendray Hospital.
The duties within this opportunity are diverse and demanding and they
will require an individual who is dynamic and driven, enjoys a challenge and
has the ability to provide continuity of service whilst critiquing, introducing
and promoting changes to working practices.

to guide and direct people and processes; then this opportunity may be of
