Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Dietetic Assistant Practitioner to join the specialist(CAMHS) Dietetic Team . The role will support children and young people with mental health needs, including those requiring specialist nutritional interventions, you will be working within CAMHS and as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
You will work as part of the CAMHS Dietetic team based at St Cadoc's Hospital.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Has a good general education, including GCSEs (or equivalent), or above.
- Has experience working with children, young people and families within healthcare, community or related settings.
- Demonstrates a sound understanding of nutrition, healthy lifestyles and behaviour change.
- Is confident delivering group sessions and supporting individuals to achieve their health goals.
- Has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Can work independently whilst being an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Is able to travel throughout the Health Board area.
