Role summary
This is a Band 6 Lead Nurse (RMN) position within The South and Dales Older Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). The role involves managing a complex caseload, conducting assessments, developing care plans, and acting as a duty worker. The post holder will also support and supervise student nurses and junior team members. There are opportunities for leadership development and contributing to the Care Home Project.

- Working knowledge of the principles of CPA (Care Programme Approach) where appropriate
- Extensive knowledge of the principles of Safety planning

Job summary
We have a fabulous opportunity for a Band 6 Lead Nurse (RMN) to join The South and Dales Older Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our supportive team.
The CMHT is a busy and dynamic team, supporting individuals over the age of 65 with both organic and functional mental illness.
The post holder will be clinically responsible for their caseload, act as duty worker and be part of the wider MDT. Alongside this, there is opportunity to work into the Care Home Project, offering support to the care homes in our locality.
They will need to support patients with a range of mental health conditions, offering both assessment and intervention.
The post holder will also have the opportunity to progress their leadership skills.
This is a permanent 30.0hr per week post. The successful candidate will need to be able to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday to cover service need. .
