Role summary
This is an excellent opportunity for a Band 5 Physiotherapist to join an experienced team providing care to inpatient mental health services in Sheffield. The role involves delivering comprehensive physiotherapy services across various bases, including older adults and working age adult inpatient mental health wards. You will assess and treat conditions like musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurology, and respiratory issues, and provide advice on falls management. The position requires travel between sites and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Essential criteria
- Core basic knowledge of musculoskeletal, neurology and respiratory conditions and physiotherapy interventions to manage these.
- Knowledge of Interdisciplinary working and effective interpersonal and team working skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Able to act on own initiative, organise and prioritise work and manage multiple tasks
- Able to maintain accurate written records and statistics using paper and IT systems

- Training and qualifications
- Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised Chartered Society of Physiotherapists training establishment
- Current HCPC Registration
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development via personal development plans/file
- Experience of working as a student or Band 5 in these physiotherapy areas: musculoskeletal, neurology, respiratory and physical rehabilitation
- Experience of working with people within in-patient settings
- Working experience as student physiotherapist/Band 5
- Experience of working in a mental health setting as a student or Band 5.

Job summary
We have an excellent opportunity for a Band 5 physiotherapist to join our organisation and provide care to inpatient mental health service in Sheffield. This is an exciting role to join an existing experienced team of physiotherapist. The role would be to provide a comprehensive physiotherapy service to our inpatient service users at a variety of bases across the city. This would include working in older adults on functional and organic mental health wards, as well as working age adult inpatient mental health wards, including a rehabilitation and a low secure forensic setting.

Main duties of the job
To provide assessment and treatment interventions for a variety of conditions which may include; musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurology, respiratory and complex moving and handling needs as well as providing assessment and advice on falls management and reviewing patients after they have fallen. The role would require moving between sites during the working day so the ability to travel is essential. This position would be supported by experienced band 6 and band 7 physiotherapists and would require collaboration and joint working
