Role summary

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity for a Community Staff Nurse based at Great Eccleston Nursing Team. The role involves providing high-quality, patient-centred, holistic nursing care in patients' homes or clinic settings across the Fylde coast. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual care requirements, monitor patient conditions, and administer drugs within NMC guidelines. A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential for this community role.

Essential criteria

  • Registered Nurse level 1
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Current NMC registration
  • Supervisor/Assessor competence or willingness to undertake

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the recruitment of a Community Staff Nurse based at Great Eccleston Nursing Team. The advertised role is a Temporary Fixed Term 12 month post (30.0 hours per week).

Main duties of the job

The postholder will work as part of a community nursing service working across the Fylde coast, undertaking nursing duties in patients' homes or clinic settings.

To provide safe, effective, individualised care to patients and to give support to families and service users requiring scheduled and unscheduled care interventions.

The role includes planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care, initiating changes to care and escalation, if required, to the senior community nurse and the wider team.

To monitor the condition and health needs of patients on a continual basis in partnership with colleagues, families and carers, referring to others for reassessment, when required.
