Role summary
This role is for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join an innovative team supporting pre-hospital emergency care. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient support of IT systems and services, particularly IT Servers, and will contribute to developing and implementing IT Infrastructure Security policies. The position involves working with cloud-first programs and ensuring the Trust's IT infrastructure is robust and secure. It is a fixed-term contract for up to 12 months.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the role of Senior Infrastructure Engineer in accordance with the agreed Role Profile and Objectives.
- Be responsible for the efficient and effective support of IT systems and services throughout the Trust as relates to IT Servers.
- Develop, contribute towards and implement policies, procedures and guidelines related to IT Infrastructure Security.
- Assist in the Development of an IT Infrastructure cloud first program and raise awareness of IT Infrastructure strategy amongst staff.
- Maintain awareness of developing standards and innovations in the area of IT infrastructure landscape, and ensure the trust exploit opportunities.
- Act as an authority and provide specialist knowledge on IT cloud base server architecture for the Trust and ensure delivery of associated IT systems and services.
Essential criteria
- Post Graduate Degree within an IT field or equivalent Vocational qualifications or experience.
- Recognized IT Server Qualifications (eg. Microsoft, AWS,).
- Recent evidence of continuing professional development.
- Extensive IT Experience, a significant portion of which in a senior IT role, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Full UK driving licence
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft on premise and cloud-based server infrastructure Azure SaS and PaAS.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft cloud based single tenanted office 365 infrastructure.
- In depth Knowledge of Windows Server 2019 and above Group Policy.
- SCCM SCOM InTune Entra Hybrid management.
- Knowledge of HP and Dell Hyper Converged Infrastructure
- Knowledge of HP Synergy and 3Par Technologies
- Knowledge of Dell Isilon Technology
- Knowledge of networking Principles underpinning Server infrastructure. knowledge on cyber threats such as Ransomware & mitigation of.
- Experience of implementation and testing of organisational Disaster Recovery planning.
