Role summary
This role is for a Nurse Associate at Bridgnorth Community Hospital, providing holistic and person-centred care to people of all ages. Working independently under the leadership of registered nurses, you will adhere to a nationally recognised code of conduct and Standards of Proficiency. The position involves effective communication, careful assessment, planning, and delivery of patient care, ensuring patient-centred services.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate effectively, with sensitivity and compassion, and manage relationships with people, making reasonable adjustments where necessary.
- Contribute to the establishment of an ethos of modern, customer orientated services and translate that into a culture of effective patient/user centred delivery.
- Ensure that care provided is effective through careful assessment of patients' condition and circumstances.
- Appropriately plan and deliver care and regularly evaluate achievement of care objectives.
- Escalate patient care concerns, and work under the leadership of registered nurses at all times.
Essential criteria
- Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
- Educated to level 5 Diploma of Higher Education and Foundation degree in nursing associate practice / Nurse Associate Apprenticeship Certificate
- Demonstrable experience of working as an Nurse Associate within the NHS or other care setting
- Ability to work effectively as a team player under appropriate supervision, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- IT skills appropriate to the role
- Ability to organise and prioritise own workload
- Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the team and the organisation, and how the role contributes to service development
- Ability to meet the travel needs of the role
