Role summary

This role is for a qualified Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to join the Older Adult Community Mental Health Team in Bolton. The practitioner will work closely within a Therapies Hub and the wider multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality collaborative care planning and psychologically informed interventions. The position involves supporting older people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties under supervision from a clinical psychologist.

Essential criteria

  • A graduate certificate (Level 6) or postgraduate certificate (Level 7) delivering the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health)
  • BABCP or BPS registered
  • Experience of working with service users with an array of mental health difficulties (i.e. psychosis, CERN, trauma, bi polar)
  • Experience of working as part of an MDT

  • Experience of working in a CMHT
  • Experience of delivering psychologically informed interventions to service users, under appropriate supervision

Job summary

We are looking for a qualified Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner with a passion for working with older people, to join our friendly Older Adult Community Mental Health Team in Bolton. You will be working closely as part of our Therapies Hub, which consists of two Clinical Psychologists, one CERN Practitioner, and a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner. You will also play a key role in the wider multi-disciplinary team, working closely with Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, a CERN Practitioner, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, a Physiotherapist, Carer Support Workers, Physical Health Professionals, and Support Workers.
